With only the marketing text to go by, the community can't have informed discussions on this topic. There is merit to the alternative of biting the bullet early to do a full integration upfront - especially if there's more commission money dictating that. It would get the new enemies and smaller features into LW2 faster, at the cost of more balance work overall. Maybe that's inherently already possible, I haven't done any XCOM2 modding myself.Īssuming the above is possible, if I was then the code architect for LW2 I might consider a phased approach to integration. To speculate with zero knowledge of what's actually the case: if I was the code architect for this expansion, I'd make sure to let modders pick and choose which features they want to enable.
